Previously known as KumikoEharu, I decided a change of accounts was necessary. The other simply no longer represents me as an artist any more. As I'm not known for my patience, I didn't want to spend the time cleaning up what was on the other. I felt a blank slate was in order.
For any of you curious, my new name is a mash up of my first name and the English translation of my last name, Bennick. I'm half Dutch and always found it amusing that my last name in the Dutch language translated phonetically to mean "am I".
I recently graduated with a Bachelors in Arts, concentrating in studio art, with a minor in Art History. My goals for now are to refine my skills as an artist and pursue a career and further my education in painting and drawing. Mostly that means saving up to be able to afford graduate school in the near future.
I've always been inspired by scenes, characters, ideas, or places in novels and fairy tales. The written word never ceases to provide a well of inspiration but I can also be inspired by music, movies, tv shows, or seemingly mundane things. I consider myself a neo-romanticist.
